Key Responsibilities:

Affordable Housing Development and Investment Analysis: Assist in drafting and preparing plans for affordable housing projects, including Section 8 housing, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maximizing investment returns.
New Construction Drafting: Create detailed plans for new single-family homes and residential projects, incorporating structural and civil engineering considerations.
Software Proficiency: Use AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft and design housing plans, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project development.
Plan Preparation: Prepare comprehensive sets of plans for submission to municipalities, clients, and construction teams, ensuring all requirements for permits and approvals are met.
Client Communication: Build and maintain strong client relationships by effectively communicating project progress, requirements, and addressing concerns.
Multitasking and Prioritization: Manage multiple ongoing projects, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality results.
Field Work: Participate in field assessments as needed, including site visits, and evaluations of construction sites and properties for new housing developments.

Qualifications:

Proven experience drafting plans for affordable housing and residential construction.
Knowledge of residential structural design and civil engineering practices.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations specific to affordable housing.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
Willingness to conduct fieldwork as necessary, including inspections and site evaluations.
